The upcoming event Gold Cup 2019 will be the 15th edition of CONCACAF Gold Cup. The tournament includes men’s football teams from North, Central American, and Caribbean region. The event is organized by CONCACAF. The upcoming edition is scheduled to be jointly hosted by the United States, Jamaica and Costa Rica. This time, the tournament will include 16 teams instead of 12. The winner of Gold Cup 2019 will play the USA, who are the defending champions, in 2019 CONCACAF Cup. The winner of CONCACAF Cup will secure their place in 2021 Confederations Cup. If, the United States of America wins the 2019 Gold Cup, then they automatically qualify for the Confederations Cup in Qatar.

When is CONCACAF Gold Cup 2019?

The 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup is scheduled to begin on 15th June 2019. The final of the tournament will be played on 7th July 2019 at Soldier Field, Chicago.

CONCACAF Gold Cup Participating Teams

For the first time in Gold Cup history, a total of 16 teams will participate. The past tournaments consisted of 12 teams. Out of sixteen, 6 teams automatically qualify after participating in the 2018 World Cup qualifying Hexagonal while remaining 10 spots were filled by playing out Concacaf Nations League qualifying. Gold Cup 2019 Groups

On 10th April 2019, the officials of the CONCACAF announced the groups. The sixteen teams of the Gold Cup are divided into the four Groups with four teams in each group. The top two teams from each group will advance to knockout rounds.
